I reread as well, but I would not say they deserve each other as they simply just don’t feel compatible. Let’s be honest, she despised him until they both got drunk to play Spin the Bottle. Also, the whole Jackie running away and Drax coming in out of nowhere just to “use the restroom” seemed kinda forced to me, which is probably why some people hate it as well. I’m not saying it’s a possibility they don’t end up together, just the whole process of them getting close right now seems forced.
