Arguably, I'm pretty certain this is based off of teenaged supernatural porno references, like the film "Sex after Death" or so on. Not that it makes the pacing of the comic anymore of puzzling, but it's less kin to a feverish orgy undertone, and more like a bohemian sex-paranormal story shift sprinkled in aswell.
